Fashion Friday + Our Week

Friday, September 19, 2014

We had a few different things going on this week, so I got to put on real, non-workout/ work clothes a few times :) And it's really cooled down a few days this week so I pulled out a few things for the cool weather.

J Crew Factory Everything (All from last year) | Shoes Jack Rogers

I really love this utility vest that I got last fall from J Crew Factory. I'm not sure if they have them again this year, but I have seen some similar on www.shopbluedoor.com recently. It's such a simple outfit, but those are usually my favorite ones.

Dress Lilly Pulitzer | Shoes Rowan | Bracelets Bourbon and Boweties

This really is the most figure flattering dress I've put on in awhile. This was Sunday's church dress. I got it off of eBay a couple of months ago since they were sold out online by the time I decided I wanted it, of course. It's a faux wrap and the colors are gorgeous in person.

Juston had an event for work at a nearby State Park Thursday evening so we sort of got an evening out, I guess. If you count a work dinner haha. I'll take what I can get I guess.

My little chick lovessss going to the grocery store with me and she especially loves when I will let her down to walk on her own. Her new thing is riding on the buggy while I'm pushing. It's so funny because I remember loving to do this very thing when I'd go grocery shopping with Mom.

It is dang near IMPOSSIBLE to get a decent picture of Caroline right now. She is always in motion and thinks it's hilarious to run away giggling as soon as she sees the camera. I guess I should take the hint that I take way too many pictures. It all just goes by so quickly that I want something tangible to remember it all with I guess.

Wednesday was library day for us and they also broke out the rhythm sticks which would be Caroline's favorite. She does really well sitting still and doing what the children's librarian tells them to and it always makes me proud that she listens so well to other adults instructions.

She picked up these weights while we were at my parents today and started squatting. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm exercising, Mama". Then she hit the floor for some chest press sets. Her form could use some work, but I love that she picks up on things like this. Sometimes I feel like I'm not completely failing at parenting, like setting a good example for her where health is concerned.

We have some big things planned for this weekend and I can not wait!!! Hope everyone has had a wonderful week.
